Whats an anime ?
An anime is a Japanese cartoon . Japaneses cartoons have a distinct style to their cartoons . If you have ever seen DBZ you ll see how the characters are designed vary greatly then that of GI Joe etc . What more that can be seen is that Japanese cartoons have a greater speed , and power to it than normal cartoons . To me they are incredibly fluid , not like the slow motion movement of other cartoons . The emotions in an anime are often very distinctive . For eg : Comedy is signified when the characters turn into a kid form of themselves , there faces become quite hilarious and they perform quite stupid things . Shyness is signified by a red line over the nose . Confidence by a V shaped eye formation and a slight grin , and so on .

Mostly I prefer Animes to normal cartoons , Do you ?

As answered above DBZ is the sequel to DB . Both of these animes have been made by Akira Toriyama . They feature a story of a incredibly strong boy named Goku , with a tail , who travels in search of adventure , finds friends and trains in Martial Arts (DB) , later he finds himself in terrible and saves the world very often (DBZ) .

The reason the anime is named DBZ is due to the DragonBalls . There are 7 DragonBalls on earth , if all of them are collected , then a dragon will arise and grant the collector 1 wish . The wish cannot exceed the power of the Dragon , whose power does not exceed its creators power , or in this case , Kami , the Guardian of Earths power . Without the Dragonballs , Earth would have certainly been doomed a long time ago .
